Rods or Shields?Updated a year ago

This one does not have a clear-cut answer as both tools are different! 

While shields are best suited for tighter lids, rods are a good alternative for more mature eyelids. Shields produce a straighter curl, whereas rods produce a tighter C-shaped curl, which would benefit clients with shorter lashes. What you use depends on your client's lashes, desired lift, and preference.
